| The Phantom of the Noppera-bô is a vengeful, nameless and faceless spirit of a skilled actor, murdered by jealousy. Its body having been mutilated, it took the form of a puppet, the masks it carries on replacing its face. This wrath causes lethal incidents during kabuki performances at the "Noppera-bô" theater. The main victims of the phantom are always jealous, prideful or arrogant actors. |
Le Fantôme du Noppera-bô est l'esprit vengeur, sans nom et sans visage, d'un acteur talentueux assassiné par jalousie. Son corps ayant été mutilé, il prit la forme d’une marionnette, les masques qu’ils porte remplaçant son visage. Ce spectre provoque des accidents mortels lors de représentations de kabuki au théâtre "Noppera-bô". Les principales victimes du fantôme sont toujours des acteurs jaloux, orgueilleux ou arrogants.
